We have been given permission, by the governor, to open. We will be open on May 8th and will start taking appointments on May 1st.

Let me start by saying thank you for being patient as we all navigate through these difficult times. Our hearts go out to all who may have lost someone during this pandemic.

We will be implementing some changes for drop off, pick up and payments. We ask that you abide by these rules, so that we may continue to service the whole community while keeping you and the staff safe. Our state is still under a shelter in place order, and there are inherent risks anytime you venture out, even for pet grooming. While we are taking every precaution, there are risks of exposure and The Grooming Lodge of Arlington Heights will not be held liable should you choose to bring your pet to us.

All clients and employees will be wearing a mask as per the Governor's orders. Any client not wearing a mask will be turned away. Any clients who do not abide by these rules will be denied service.

No clients will be allowed in the shop due to social distancing rules. Because of this, and our need to sanitize in between clients and pets, we will be instituting strict appointment times for drop-offs AND pick-ups. Anyone more than 5 minutes late will be rescheduled, and a 25% late fee will be incurred due at the time we call you to reschedule. No shows will be charged 50% of their usual fee due at the time of rescheduling. Last minute cancels (less than 24 hours) will be charged 25%.

Please, if anyone in your household is sick DO NOT bring your pet in for grooming. The virus can be carried on your pet's coat. No fees will be incurred. Remember, if ONE of the staff gets sick, the whole shop will be shut down.

Drop off – Please do not enter the shop. Haircut instructions will be discussed via telephone at the time the appointment is made. If changes are to be made, it will be discussed over the phone and not at the door. A staff member will come out the BACK door and place a slip lead on your pet, then you will remove the collar and leash and take it home with you. Please just have an easily removed collar or harness on your pet and nothing extra. We will wait for you to leave, then bring your pet into the shop. All pets must be standing on the ground, no "hand-offs" please.

Pickup – We will call when your pet is ready unless a pickup time has been set previously. A specific pick-up time will be given. At that time, a staff member will bring your pet out the FRONT door to you on a slip lead, please attach your collar and leash and then we will remove our lead. Leads are sanitized after each use.

Payments – Credit card payments will be taken over the phone when we call to let you know your pet is ready. Electronic payments can also be handled via our website (www.GroomingLodgeAH.com ) or PayPal (paypal.me/erictaylor1397). Only pre-written checks or cash (exact amount) will be accepted at pick up

Nail Trims – No walk-in nail trims will be accepted. Please call to schedule an appointment.

We apologize, but currently we are not accepting new clients or new puppies.

Be assured we are doing everything in our power to keep all safe. We have a UV sanitizer and will sanitizing all equipment in between pets. We are implementing extreme sanitizing protocols for all staff and every aspect of the grooming process.
